Fashion Merchandising provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to compete in an extremely challenging and dynamic profession. The curriculum is designed to satisfy a diversity in content that aims at combining an appreciation of a creative minded merchandiser with the talents of an enterprising retailer. Students will learn to project accurate forecasts for profits in sales and to utilize the varied techniques of visual merchandising that will attract the consumer. Buying, sales and management techniques arediscussed and practiced. Curriculum includes visual merchandising and merchandising techniques, line/brand development, retail management, marketing, textiles & apparel technology, retail math and buying skills combined with an extensive use of computers.
