I bring to the classroom enthusiasm, a passion for the learning experience and solid teaching skills. Most recently I have been involved in developing a fashion design curriculum of a college in India.

I am every excited about our international connection. I have taught in the fashion design and fashion merchandising programs at both Sheridan and Fanshawe College. As well I have taught textile design and fashion marketing at Brescia College.

A graduate of the Fashion Design Program at Fanshawe College, I have many years of experience in the garment industry, working both in manufacturing and retailing. For eight years I owned and operated a children's wear business, designing, manufacturing, and marketing a high end line of children's clothing across Canada. During this time I operated two retail outlets, one in Toronto's Queens Quay Terminal and the other in downtown London.

One of my proudest moments was being honored as one of the designers in a special contemporary Canadian fashion exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum.

It all began when the baby picked up the pencil…. Only kidding. It starts here:

I have been inspired to draw since I was young so I knew that creating images was to be in my life. I studied Advertising Art-Design and graduated from the Fanshawe College’s program.

After winning a National Poster competition and working in the industry for three years I opened up my own space “studio Graphix”. It has allowed me to unleash my artistic expressions and to work with clients from ideas to completion. From graphic layout and design, logos, corporate identity designs, illustration to painting, many images have been created.

I started instructing at Fanshawe College in the Art and Design Division in 1998. I have designed and delivered various courses within Graphic Design, Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Design Programs. Each course, whether it is Design and Colour Theory, Visual Communication, Illustration or Prop Production I try to be very creative and inspire the students to think outside the box in a less is more approach.

I encourage and help develop the student’s own original style. “Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.” Chinese Proverb
